Maybe 2011 is my year. Time will tell. For the last few weeks I have been getting to know a very
handsome (according to his pictures) man from the online dating site. Not your usual "Hey I think you're hot- let's chat" kinda of emails. He took me by surprise with his "Tell me 5 random fun facts about yourself." That kinda emailing went on for about a week and we found out in a fun way all of the different things we had in common. Our schedules have been so crazy that it's taken about 3 weeks for us to be able to meet up. I am excited yet nervous.
Excited because I am attracted to his personality & sense of humor, and intelligence. He's a bit of a dork- but I've come to learn that most men around 30 are dorks. And most importantly- he LOVES to travel. He's not obsessed with the fact that I'm a flight attendant & rarely asks too much about it. He lives about 2 hours away (bummer) but not too far from my parents- otherwise I might not have responded to his initial contact on the dating site.
When planning the date, he informed me that he would be driving up to my town and taking me out. Bonus! After the pilot (and the college bf, and the gov't contractor in DC) I have refused to travel excessively for any man. So his not even suggesting that I go to his town (which has way more to do than mine) for our first date- was a huge win in my book.
The plan is to go ice-skating at the outdoor rink they have set-up downtown (today is the last day) and then grab drinks & dinner. I haven't been skating in many years & he's never been ice-skating at all. This could either be a disaster- or amazingly fun! (confession- I youtubed a video on how to ice-skate as a refresher)
I promise to update you all :) Especially my sorority sister from college who follows this blog & gets upset when I don't blog as often as I should.
Also planned for this week: Dinner with the Electrician.
