Have you missed me?

Last week I was at a wedding and my sorority sister & most loyal reader asked me when I'm going to write again. Well I've been meaning to...

Here are a few highlights:

Mr. Grumpy Co-Worker & Old Celebs
One of the Beach Boys was on a flight. Had no clue who he was until he told me, but he was a very sweet and upbeat guy! It was slightly embarrassing that he asked me why my co-worker was so grumpy. Well he WAS! But I was embarrassed for my co-worker that someone would notice. The next day another passenger approached me about it too! Some people are just miserable- but it's unacceptable to me on an airplane in a customer service job. That's a topic for another day.

Inflight Training & A Taste of Normalcy
I had the amazing opportunity to assist in the transition of a new I flight program in October. My team of mentors were assigned to the hub city where I live so I was able to get a taste of a "day job" and I'm hooked! It was fantastic to wake up at the same time as the BF and get home just before him so we could have dinner each night. It was so normal and I loved it.  Could I see myself working in training permanently? Yes, but not for my airline since it would require a move.

New York City/New Jersey/BF Non-Revs:
We took a trip to New Jersey for a wedding via non-revenue. If you follow me on twitter, you saw how that ended. After a much needed weekend with various college friends and sorority sisters, spending the day in the city....we attempted a direct flight home from Newark. On a Sunday. Mr. Ultimate was a trooper...after 4 hours an 3 missed flights out- (and his dissatisfaction with the quality of airport food selection) we took a train to Philadelphia and got on a flight home from there.

Moving....Again
As you remember, I moved in August to be closer to my family and Mr. Ultimate.  My apartment is amazing & the roommate is wonderful. Location is 5 blocks away from the man. Well...I'm moving in with him this month!  It's a scary wonderful thing...I've never lived with a boyfriend before so the idea of combining spaces, lives, my crap is new to me. But that's part of growing up, falling in love, and all that jazz.

What's Next?
Ugh...I have NO idea. I'm still commuting to Kansas City, Freaking Missouri (almost Kansas) to work 3-4 times a month while contemplating my next move.  Still toying around with the idea of teaching. I have almost everything ready to just do it: go to graduate school and get my certification. But I have this wonderful undergraduate degree in graphic design- why not use it?  Is there something else I want to do? I just don't know. Consider this my quarter life crisis.  All I know is that I really can't keep flying if it means I have to be away so much...it's burning me out.
