These kinds of stories always seem to tug at my heart. I was raised to be strong & my parents and family did an excellent job to show me how a woman is to be treated: With respect. My mom watched a LOT of "Lifetime Original Movies." You all know the ones- where the women are always beaten & a man is going to kill her and then she triumphs. As flight attendants, we are seen as a strong group of women. But sometimes behind a smile might be a woman who is happy to come to work because she doesn't have to endure what's going on at home. You might see her always checking her phone or fighting with a boyfriend. Instead of ignoring it- lift her up & tell her that if she needs anything you're there. And mean it. No woman- young or old- deserves to be abused in any way. So if you see the signs. Do something about it. The simple act of caring might make all the difference.
