At a Crossroads

The other day Bobbie Laurie over at upupandagay.com brought up a good point to me via Twitter.

upupandagay @flybachelorette So when are you changing your handle to "FlyUnBachelorette" ? Since you're not single :P

Good Point.....I started this blog when I met "the pilot" and my good friend told me the beginnings of the relationship were more entertaining than Jake Pavelka on "The Bachelor- On The Wings of Love". So we dubbed me the "Flying Bachelorette" and I'd write about my dating adventures (and misadventures) as a flight attendant.  It worked out for the blogging until now-ish because I'd blog about other things too.

The online dating was the BEST for blogging material.  I had no idea I'd actually meet someone like the man I met only 2 months ago.  It was kinda random....I was only on Plenty of Fish for an ego boost & blogging material.  After "the pilot" and the months that followed of us going back & forth with hurting each other & making up, then him hurting me, and on and on.....enough was enough and I needed reassurance that other men found me funny, witty, clever, kind, beautiful, and a person worth spending time with....that I wasn't completely damaged by "the pilot" and his mistreatment of me.

So this brings me to my crossroad: I feel like I'm still a "bachelorette" because there is still that possibility that Mr. Ultimate could break my heart just as many have in the past and then I am back to blogging material.  BUT I have been wanting to blog about a few other topics too.

I am a graphic designer....my dream job would be working for an airline to combine the best of both of my worlds: Aviation & Creative.  So I think the time is coming to refocus myself...but this blog has been so much fun that I'm not sure I want to give it up quite yet....

So when am I changing my handle? When I get a diamond on my finger.....because until that beautiful symbol of "I love you forever" is slipped onto my left hand......I'm fair game.  The only thing certain in life is that life is uncertain.  I can still blog about my relationship experiences as a flight attendant....because its unlike anything else.  It's tough, takes a lot of understanding, patience, coordinating of schedules and when you meet someone who is able to make it all work- you realize that you have been given a gift.

So my blogging friends.....a new blog IS in the works to write about the Design topics within Aviation: branding, advertising & marketing, uniforms, etc. Help with a name would be GREAT!
