Dating Update

.....

As promised- date with Electrician.  Very nice guy....just no chemistry. Perhaps that's because I had met the other guy (who we'll call HotNerd) and had such a fantastic date with.  Electrician isn't lacking in the looks department....well dressed. TALL and great smile. We just didn't connect.  I do think he's a nice person though.

This weekend was Date #2 with HotNerd (gotta find him another nickname) and it was amazing.  I drove the 1.5hrs to his city....which despite my mom living nearby I had never actually spend anytime in the actual city.  We met at his house & then went to the park to play frisbee....then walked around downtown for awhile untl he suggested going into an Art Museum.  (I thought he'd NEVER ask!!)  It was so refreshing to be able to truly enjoy art with a man who was obviously not suffering through it or making fun of all of it.  I love having the non-artist perspective too.  Then we enjoyed dinner & he invited me to go along to a birthday party of one of his Ultimate Frisbee teammates.

As much as I am trying to not fall so fast for him- we seem to be falling fast for each other & each date has been like a movie.  I'm trying to remain realistic and not rush into anything...and keep a level head about things.  Its tough....he's incredibly smart, low-key & sophisticated all at once, he enjoys sports but loves the arts too.  Seems perfect.....but don't we always say that after the first 2 dates?  I've felt like this before though- the feeling that it's so perfect & meant to be....so how do you know when it's real?  I guess before it was all so one-sided...and even though from the moment we first met I had that magical movie feeling- something about it is different.  He doesn't try to make me into someone I'm not- he doesn't pressure me to be physical (that's all on my own free will...) and he is interested in who I am- not what I am.  He thinks my job is interesting (it is. but it isn't) and doesn't put me down for having a college education & being a Flight Attendant.

After this weekend.....I guess I'm out of the dating scene....and into the exclusivity scene.  It seems a lot faster than it really was. We began with emails via a dating website about a month before meeting each other.....I can't help but think how crazy this is.  Don't worry I'm not hearing wedding bells just yet.  You'll be the first to know.

Sunday is SuperBowl.....Plans include flying the 20min commuter flight to his city (gas is $3/gal here & when I fly free.....hello- no brainer) to go to a Superbowl party with my HotNerd man.  Conveniently before we had our first date- my schedule came out with 24hrs in his city on Valentine's Day..........Coincidence? I think not.
