Morning Sickness, Massages, and Awkward!! Oh and Crew Scheduling.

I better start with the morning sickness so you all don't think I'm having a pilot's baby.  Although, we did go to the zoo yesterday and he said "I feel like I should have a child with me. Let me rub your belly so it looks like we have some form of a child with us" Don't ask. He's a pilot- they rarely do or say things that we understand.

Anyways- The pilot boyfriend spent his two days off at my house instead of commuting to the other side of the country (aka- "no seat for you" by the standby wardons...i mean gate agents..in Philly) and then to my crew base for the trip that we both picked up together.  It was hard enough to drag each other out of bed at 5am for our 630am airport report time, but to top it off- I wasn't feeling well.  My ailment: the opposite of knocked up...which I will call "knocked down" because really you feel like you are that or if someone pisses you off they will become that!  I thought breakfast would make it better. Breakfast was 2 chocolate chip cookies in the car to the airport. I intended on a bagel once we got to the hub city. NOT.  I got rapidly worse during our 30 minute flight from base to the hub.  I won't go into details, but apparently those cookies were fighting each other and my stomach kicked them out.  My captain has ONE caplet of Tylenol Extra Strength...and well i begged for it.  It made a difference but not before the cookie crumbs began fighting each other.  I was fine by the time we got up in the air for our next flight.

I have NO idea why I picked up this trip.  Probably because the BF did and since I would have to drive him to the airport at 6am, I thought-well why not work with him? That'll be fun....NOT.

When we got to our 2nd city...we had to sit for 3.5 hours (thank you crew planning for aiding in crew member fatigue....i hope the FAA's research is conclusive that sitting around airports between flights makes people tired and you are forced to care about safety)....which is usually annoying. but the BF decided to locate those chairs in airports that you put money in to get massaged.  After both getting 3 minutes for $1, which by the way is a lot longer than you think), he decided to swipe the debit card and give me 15 more minutes for $5.....:yay!!  I dont think he knows how many points he scored.

No uncomfortable day would be complete without a little visit from an ex-boyfriend!  Pilot boy had to head up to his north eastern base immediately after we finished our trip in my base.  Since it was full and his base is a city notorious for delays...on a flight opperated by a regional airline notorious for cancelations and delays....i decided to wait until he had a seat and the flight was going.  And I get a text message from the EX asking if I'm working the flight he is taking to the same city Pilot Boy is going to.  I was confused. I thought he was asking me about something in the future. NO. He was across the boarding area where I couldn't see him, but apparently he saw me. Awkward.  Thank GOD I wasn't working his flight. Nice guy....but..when you have to question his sexuality on more than one occassion...it's not meant to be.

That....is my exciting life...i wish it were more exciting. But it's not.  It has been a month full of Crew Scheduling trying to abuse me as a Reserve Flight Attendant....and not realizing that I'm not brand new- I know my contract!!  And it's bit them in the ass on several occasions.  Remind me to write about that one later.

All motivation to keep plugging away for the Graphic Design job.....which btw...I'm really hating my blog graphic.  Not hating, but not satisfied.  Revision coming soon.
