So much I haven't blogged about!! Today is day 5 for me (1day, 3day, 1day) and everyday I was at the airport before 7am. I showed up today thinking I had to be there at 630am. Nope. 830am. So I figured I'd blog.
Let me catch you up: Crazy busy...about to get more crazy.
It's Summer. (as if I had to tell anyone that- unless you live in a cave and aren't sweltering in this heat wave.) That means family functions almost every weekend. Which would be awesome if my family wasn't so spread out. The niece & nephew were at my mom's in the Queen City for 3 weeks, while my brother & his wife packed and moved from Palm Springs to Boston. I spent nearly every weekend at Mr. Ultimate's place for that & he turned 30 on Flag Day....so I put together a festive Flag Day themed party for him. What else...oh yes...Baby and birthday visit on the coast. Mom's Birthday (which had I read my schedule correctly I would've been able to go to dinner last night grr). Next up is my Family Reunion in West Virginia (might as well be Ohio or Pennsylvania) which should be very fun. Scattered in there were also family functions with Mr. Ultimate's family. The real fun begins in August...
....Change is in the Air. August brings a switch in flying for me. It was a difficult decision, but given my move to the Queen City next month (no more long distance relationship- unless you count a 15 min walk long distance)- I transferred to a MidWestern domicile. Instead of driving 90minutes to work, I will be commuting by air again back to the place that I met Pilot Boy (more on that later). The upside is different routes on the two airline partners we fly for. Additionally I will be training other flight attendants for some of the newer changes happening this fall for us.
What else...Oh yes. Back to School. Next spring or fall, I hope to begin my certification for teaching Mathematics. (yes I'm quite possibly insane) Given my undergraduate degree in Fine Arts- this will require some background courses that I will have to take this year. The plans are not solidified yet, as there are many factors that come into play and a few different avenues to take in getting my teaching license. So. Here we go...Graduate School & Flying...fun
Soooo.....That's the update....As briefly as possible for me. I will probably go crazy, but I'm looking forward to the move being over so that I can be closer to Mr. Ultimate & my family and see what opportunities are around the corner
In the time it took to write this I was getting sleepy- wishing I didn't have to leave in 20 minutes to go to work. My favorite scheduler called to tell me we are delayed an hour. Nap. Time. I love you Scheduling...now let me swap my schedule around next month so I won't go so crazy.
