I mentioned before that August is going to be insane. Well probably not as bad as I anticipate now that I have successfully rearranged my schedule. But nevertheless, it will be hectic until I'm all moved in. On the agenda for this weekend- Back to my hometown near Pittsburgh, PA for a family reunion.
What should be more fun is this upper respiratory thing I have going on.
Is it allergies? Anxiety? Or possibly something that one of my germ infested passengers passed on this week? The other day we were waiting in the boarding area for out plane to come in, enjoying our Starbucks and breakfast....peacefulness was interrupted by a man sneezing every 90 seconds and not covering his mouth. Yes he was on our plane. The next day (yesterday) I felt tired (which is not abnormal) and my throat began to hurt (abnormal).....GREAT. Today, I woke up with same sore throat and shortness of breath, and coughing. AWESOME.
I don't want to point the finger at Mr. McSneezy. It could be some other issue combined with my pre-existing respiratory issues.
Attention People of the Skies: If you are sick- cover your mouth. Sanitize everything you touch. We don't want your germs. Crews can't/shouldn't go to work sick. It's not like showing up to an office and hiding in the office all day to not come in contact with other people to infect others. On an airplane, you risk the potential for infecting hundreds, if not thousands, of people. The passengers on your flight(s), people near you in the boarding areas & TSA, your crew and then the people who sit in your seat on that plane for the rest of the day.
I say this....but you know what I'm doing later today.....getting on an airplane.
