Awesome Kids Travel Products!

Thanksgiving weekend I was fortunate to fly a trip with only 2 flights a day.  The first day included a flight into Houston Intercontinental.......with 9 toddlers all sitting in the last 6 rows of the plane....Most parents/travel companions were awesome with the toys. Some- not so much.  They were all adorable kids- a little wild during boarding but precious angles in the air (aka- they passed out on take-off)

While out window shopping today I stopped into the Toy Store to compile a list of possible gifts for my niece & nephew.  This store is amazing. Something that struck me as odd were these little guys.....Trunkis.....I have yet to see them in the airports.  Online research taught me that Trunki is a UK company (www.trunki.co.uk) but you can buy them in the US through Melissa & Doug (also one of my favorite toy companies for kids)

So not only does it hold all your kids' stuff inside it, but it also entertains them too.  But I can't help wondering- is it more trouble than it's worth?  With all of the accessories available for it, this is one product for traveling kids that I am loving right now. Check out their website with all of their cool accessories! I'm loving the color coordinated "Saddlebags" that are messenger bags that strap to the Trunki! I also love the Trunki website because they have "Fun" Section for you to print out activities for your Jr. Traveler and a "Tips" section to help make your traveling experience a pleasant one.  KUDOS To Trunki!!!

While you're at it....why not purchase your Jr. Frequent Fliers a CARES Child Aviation Restraint System from KidsFlySafe.com.
CARES is the only harness-style child safety device approved for aircraft use by the FAA. It comes in a 6" pouch. It's designed for children 22-44 pounds that can sit in their own airplane seat. It prevents the wiggle worms from getting out of their seats during the most critical phases of flight for their safety.  You wouldn't want your kid unbuckled in your car driving 25mph...so why risk it going over 400mph over the earth's surface?  Check out the website above for more information!

FAA.GOV
Also the FAA(Federal Aviation Administration- the people who make all those rules to keep us safe in the air) has a section devoted to Child Safety.  It details all sorts of requirements & the approval of the CARES....and even has a brochure for you to print out and carry with you!

Children are precious gifts.......keep them safe & keep your Flight Attendants & fellow passengers happy!
