Polly Pocket & the Bad Bridesmaid

As promised.....the Polly Pocket post....and dish on my best friend's wedding.  The Bachelorette is BACK and better than ever!!  It wasn't easy....but more on that another time.

Over a month ago I flew with Polly Pocket...she was a reserve from another base and was a riot!!  She's your typical FA in my company......early 40's divorce' enjoying her freedom!  Our hotel van in Virginia Beach took almost an hour to pick us up around midnight....so when we checked into our waterfront hotel I asked what the deal was and got major attitude from the rotund desk guy.  Polly requested on our crew and the other 2 crews from another airline that we get a free breakfast voucher.  SCORE!!  And it was major YUM.  Anyways our flights were a blast because we were rarely serious about anything but safety.  Polly Pocket suggested liquor for everyone's complimentary beverage "Sir would you care for a beverage?....Coke? Would you like to purchase a rum to go with your coke?"  Boooze Cruise for 3 days- I sold more liquor in 3 days than I have sold in my entire (although short) career as a flight attendant!  Polly & I decided that I should have a reality show because apparently my life is more entertaining than the crap on TV now!  Which is partially true- it's fully of substance, drama, and fabulousness!  Polly will be a regular guest star!

Okay....so i guess that wasn't so interesting...next.

The wedding.  Okay so the dress was awful....of course.  But the bride looked amazing and the wedding was amazing.  Of course- it was a Jersey Wedding held outside of New Jersey. Even Grandma was fist-pumping!  No really she was and it was- epic!! I hear that the bride has video of it...I say "upload that to Youtube & it'll go viral"  Anyways it was a weekend full of hanging out with friends from college that I haven't seen in a few years.  Although I speak to my best friend at least 3 times a week...we haven't seen each other in 2 years.  And I shared a room with one of my guy friends from college...everyone told me what would happen.....and well it did.  Of course I knew it would too...I was just in denial of the inevitable.  I guess its just what happens at weddings?  We went our separate ways and that's that....but it may happen again soon!

Lately one of my good co-worker friends has been spending more time in base since her boyfriend lives near me.  It's been a lot of fun enjoying fall in our city!  I have spent a lot of time putting myself first and re-realizing that I'm a pretty lucky girl.  I'm smart- funny (i know that's subjective but whatever), hot, talented woman who can do whatever I want and nobody is going to stop me!

I've never looked better without my the Pilot.....and judging by the full social calendar next month- I'm apparently not the only one who thinks so.  I know my match is out there...but right now I'm enjoying the single life...I'll blog about my dates tomorrow.

Thanks for reading!
